I think you're right, the production is so simple on tracks like Dance dance dance, that it allows her cute voice to be central. More songs should be written with just an acoustic bass line and a horn flourish.

i got a chance to see Panda Riot @ the soap duck love club in chicago, they're all all around lovely sounding band. truly dreamy is their sound -strikes the same chord that My Bloody Valentine hits for me, but with a more rhythmic dynamic. I recently heard that a chunk of the unreleased post-LOVELESS material was largely jungle[music] influenced, and Colm O'coosig was doing alot of drum sequencing electronically. i imagine Panda Riot would sound very similar to what we may have heard from MBV. on the other hand, playing festivals like "Kalamashoegazer", I'm sure these guys are sick to death of the references to the pioneers of the genre.
all that set aside, the pure tonal quality of this recording alone is very pleasant. it's hard to imagine anyone who couldn't appreciate this cover.

I love, I could say, and I don't know! Guess who batman, was too risky, at least for me, and a little to much of a bubble- gum sound. But again Lily Allen hits her mark, with the song Who'd known. I can't hear Take That, in any part of the song, (she worries too much) gO GET 'EM Lil!

This is such a great site. I've just gotten ahold of maybe.. six or seven of the artists you've suggested on the site and I'm thrilled! I can't wait to listen to all of it based on the few songs I've sampled as of yet. You have, in my opinion, wonderful taste! Keep it up, and I'll be sure to pass on the URL. My friends are going to consider this a real gem!
